Spring 2022 will be filled with workshops, performances and inspiring meetings!

Denna sida upp and Miramos
Emilia Wärff´s solo Denna sida upp is taking its form during spring and will premiere in the fall of 2022. Denna sida upp is a poetic dance performance where objects, graphical forms and movement are combined in various bodily elements. A tour with Miramos is planned to happen in the northern of Sweden in April.

Workshops
There will be several larger workshop projects during spring. In the beginning of the year, we will visit Lerum, Kungälv and Falkenberg to give workshops of Vågade Vågor to pupils in special needs schools. In April and May, we have a massive chunk of workshops with Klot & Klimat in Härryda kommun. In June we are returning to Kungshamn and Hunnebostrand to give workshops to high school pupils. We are also having two workshops in March for newly arrived at Mölnlycke Kulturhus in a project named Välkomsten.

Looking back at fall 2021

It has been a lot of exciting, new and established projects that has flourished this fall! Before we take a holiday break, we look back at the fall that has been. The performance Moby Dick had it´s premier, first in Italy then in Sweden. Hannah Felicia participated in the Norwegian festival Showbox and Miramos has been on tour in schools.

Spark Lab Vara
We started the fall with a visit at Vara and Vara Konserthus. Spark Lab Vara was a project led by the Swedish choreographer Rani Nair and the filmmaker Nadia Adame. The lab in Vara was a hybrid between a digital and physical participation, with dancers from seven different countries. Also included in the Spark lab was the online talk So far, so good? which was live streamed on set.

Miramos
In September we visited Piteå on a showcase day arranged by Dans I Nord. Miramos has continued to tour this fall, in schools around Gothenburg through KUBO. In September, there was a premier of the recorded audio description of the performance at Världskulturmuseet in Gothenburg.

Premiere of Moby Dick!
We picked up the work of the performance Moby Dick and premiered it the 5th of September at the Italian festival Oriente Occidente Dance Festival, in Rovereto. Moby Dick was a co-production with the festival and Dansnät Sverige. Parts of the performance were created during a resident in spring 2021, at Vara Konserthus. This November, the performance had Sweden-premier at Skånes Dansteater, in Malmö.

Hannah Felicia
Another current performance this fall, is Hannah Felicia. This beautiful duet with dancers Hannah Karlsson and Felicia Sparrström, performed this September in Huddinge and now recently in November, they where in Oslo during the Showbox festival. Hannah Felicia also participated at a dance study visit in Falkenberg, at the end of October!

Vågade Vågor
We have during the fall, continued the workshop concept Vågade Vågor and have for instance been in Kungälv. The workshop is about building a comfortable feeling to create, according to the children’s qualifications.

Hannah Felicia at Showbox in Oslo!

On December 3, this fine duet will come to Oslo and the Showbox festival! The performance will be presented at 10am and 12.00am at Black Box Teater.

Hannah Felicia is about sisterhood and the relationship between two people. Or are we perhaps merely seeing two sides of the same person? That longs to be seen, accepted and loved.

Choreographer Lára Stefánsdóttir often uses the dancers own conditions as the starting point. During several years, she was artistic director and choreographer for Iceland Dance Company, and she has also been awarded several prizes for her own works. The music for Hannah Felicia was created by Icelandic composer Högni Egilsson, who has released music on celebrated record label Erased Tapes and created music for the interactive project Project XO for Sadler’s Wells in the UK. The sound design was created by Þórarinn Guðnason.

Klot & Klimat as fall-break activity on Styrsö!

Klot & Klimat as fall-break activity for students in middle school with Emilia Wärff, Britta Kangas and Annika Vestel!

We live and dream our blue-green globe.
Infinite in size and possibilities, and yet just a tiny dot in the Universe.
Our inner compass leads the way out into the vast space.

The workshop Klot & Klimat (Globe & Climate) deals with issues about the climate and how we together can make big changes, even with small actions. We warm up and find our own center. Then we’re off to the Arctic where we gather on ice floes and meet Ursus maritimus, Pinnipedia and other animals.

We move on through the world that is at times both warm and cold, wet and dry, still and stormy. We talk about shared responsibility, think about how everything’s connected and how we together can make a change. Because together we are both strong, brave and inventive.

This will also be the first time that Spinn takes the stage at Falkhallen. I’ve been there on field trips and noted that they have an awesome dance venue, airy but intimate.
