Thank you Reykjavík and Ísafjörður!

Yesterday was the last show on our Iceland tour and we can clearly state that this trip was a success! After a total of seven performances and one workshop, it’s time for the team to pack up and head home after two weeks on tour.

Reykjavík Dance Festival lasted five days and opened with a sparkling show from the group Little Sister at Iðnó, a cultural center where there was also a mingling party in the evenings. In addition to lots of dance performances, the festival included talks and opportunities to meet visitors and participants. We are also so happy that both the choreographer Lára Stefánsdóttir and the composer Högni Egilsson had the opportunity to participate in a conversation between our two performances on Thursday. It was the first time that the dancers and the team met them both because the rehearsals for Hannah Felicia< /em> largely happened digitally. Thanks to the festival’s organizers and everyone who was involved in coordinating this lovely festival!

On Monday, the tour crew and team hit the Icelandic roads to the northwestern community of Ísafjörður. It is so incredibly beautiful by a fjord surrounded by high mountain peaks. Here Hannah Felicia was shown at the Edinborgarhúsið with a daytime performance for students and a public performance in the evening. Then there was a victory toast and a big cheer for the team for the last performance of the tour. There was also a toast to Veera Suvalo Grimberg and Klas Grimberg who are celebrating 25 years of marriage. Congratulations to you! Thank you Edinborgarhúsið and Ísafjörður for embracing us well!

Now the team can sit back on the plane home and conclude that we did this well! Goodbye Iceland and goodbye!

Thank you Akureyri!

After three wonderful days and three fantastic performances at the Menningarhúsið Hof in Akureyri, we will now continue on this tour and participate with two performances during the Reykjavík Dance Festival .

We have received an incredibly nice response in Akureyri and met such a nice audience who were very curious about Spinn and who showed appreciation for Hannah Felicia. “Hannah and Felicia are stars, Spinn must come here every year!” said one member of the audience after Monday night’s performance. On Tuesday, Hannah Felicia was first shown to school classes aged 13-14 and in the second performance there were high school students from the theater line and students from special schools. After the second performance, there was a spontaneous talk with the theater students. The students asked questions to the dancers and choreographer Lára Stefánsdóttir who was also present in Akureyri. It was a very nice meeting and end of the stay. Thank you Akureyri for this time!

Now we look forward to the Reykjavik Dance Festival at 17.00 & 19.00 at Tjarnarbíó Theater! Between the performances there will be an artist talk with Lára, Veera and Högni Egilsson. There are still a few single tickets left for tonight’s shows.

Book tickets for the performances at 17.00 & 19.00 here!

See you there!

Location: Kulturhuset Bergsjön, Rymdtorget.
Time: Saturday 19 November, at 12:30-15:30

Read the full program for the day here!

Fall holiday activities!

What a Gothenburg premiere it was at the Folkteatern last Saturday! Two sold out performances by Hannah Felicia and soon a tour awaits! But more about that in the next news post. Now we want to draw attention to two perfect autumn holiday activities that are suitable for the whole family.

Tomorrow, our family show Miramos plays at Blå Stället in Angered and is also free. The show starts at 12:30 and we recommend that you arrive well in advance as no advance booking is required. The performance features Ida Häggström, Hannah Karlsson, Annika Vestel and Emilia Wärff.
Read more about the event at Blå Stället here.

Are you possibly in the vicinity of Kortedala tomorrow? Then you can come by Kortedala library and participate in the workshop Dansa en bok! The target group for this workshop is 4-7 years old and this activity is also free and does not require advance registration. The workshop starts at 10:00 and lasts about 45 minutes.
Read more about the event at Kortedala library here.

You actually have the opportunity to take part in both activities and make tomorrow a real culture day! Or we’ll see you there at one of the places. It goes very well with that. Hope to see you in Angered and Kortedala tomorrow!
