Welcome to Denna sida upp – a performance about the Swedish benevolence.

During the spring, Emilia and choreographer Gunilla Heilborn has collaborated on the further development of Denna sida upp. A work made possible through support from City of Gothenburg.

On May 20, Emilia Wärff will perform her solo  Denna sida upp at Högsbo parish hall.  It will be the first time the performance meet audience since the development process.

Using her own experiences as the starting point, and with the gripper at hand, Emilia tells a story about the Swedish model that’s both abstract and absurd. Denna sida upp is a performance where function becomes form, where the Aid Central’s everyday selection is elevated, shifted, and transformed into something dreamy, headstrong, and beautiful. All of it to the rhythmic and playful music of musician and composer Anna Gustavsson.

The performance on May 20 is part of an evening program featuring several events.
