In a few days, it’s time for departure for dancer Felicia Sparrström, to Athens in Greece. For just over a week, Felicia will participate in a lab, organized by the European program Europe Beyond Access. It will be extremely exciting to hear more from Felicia about the lab!

The fifth and last Europe Beyond Access artist laboratory will be hosted at Onassis STEGI in Athens, Greece, from 7 to 12 June. It is aimed at disabled dancers from the project who want to engage in a creative research process and to explore the field of choreography.

Artistic practices and tools of choreographic composition, dramaturgy and contemporary practices, identity and accessibility are some of the topics that will be researched in the lab. This program will be coordinated and curated by choreographer Maria Koliopoulou and dancer/choreographer Demy Papathanasiou. Read more about the event here.

The core partners of the project are British Council (operating for this project in the UK and Poland), Skånes Dansteater (Sweden), Oriente Occidente (Italy), Onassis Stegi (Greece), Holland Dance Festival (The Netherlands), Kampnagel (Germany), and Per.Art (Serbia). It is co-funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Commission.
