How to be an accessible theater – even on stage (seminar Bibu 2026)
For several years, Regionteater Väst has collaborated with Språng and their semi-professional dance company Konstra, with dancers both with and without disabilities. As part of this collaboration, the theatre has hosted interns—an approach to explore pathways for young performing artists to become professional practitioners, while Regionteater Väst gains practical experience and inspiration from dancers with disabilities. These internships have created opportunities for dancers with disabilities to continue working both at the theatre and with the dance company Spinn.
How can we find solutions within existing structures to see what frameworks are needed for continued work? Come and be inspired by how we have approached this. It’s easier than you think—if you are willing and have the courage!
