On May 20, four students from the professional dance program Live will present their performance ATTUNING at Högsbo Församlingshem. The improvisation score functions as a performance, educational tool and research method. The dancers improvise – each responding to impulses that arise from bodily awareness, the group’s interaction and dynamics, the space and the soundscape. The score emphasizes presence in the moment, listening with all senses, and sensitivity and harmony in the common space of dance. The performance offers a state of concentration and collective strength. After the performance, an artist talk will be held

Live Vocational Institute

Live is Finland’s only vocational special education institution where students can complete a vocational qualification in dance. The education focuses on contemporary dance. Students also gain basic skills in other dance techniques and various forms of expression. Each student receives an individual learning path that takes into account their interests in different dance genres, the applied methods used in the dance field, and future employment opportunities.
