We are proud and delighted to share the news that Danskompaniet Spinn is part of the initiative Universal Culture – National Network for Accessibility.

This is a three-year project led by Fredens Hus in collaboration with the Nätverket Universell Kultur, Nätverket Universell Scenkonst och Nätverket Perception.

Danskompaniet Spinn is one of the project partners, joining more than 150 organisations and stakeholders from across Sweden in working towards a cultural sector where everyone is not only welcome, but also expected.

The project aims to:

✨ Build a national network for universal and accessible culture
✨ Implement pilot projects at cultural institutions throughout Sweden
✨ Create an open knowledge hub for accessibility issues within the cultural sector

The goal is to achieve Sweden’s disability policy objectives within the cultural sector, foster artistic development, and create lasting change in the infrastructure surrounding people with disabilities.

Together with our partners, we look forward to contributing to a cultural sector where universal design becomes the standard, by developing inclusive structures both artistically and organisationally.

The project is funded by Allmänna Arvsfonden.
