We are now coming to the end of our second week of rehearsals for our upcoming production Moby Dick, choreographed by Chiara Bersani. During the first week our artistic director Veera Suvalo Grimberg was on site in Rovereto, so we asked her to share some of her reflections about what she experienced in the studio.

”The last time we met was during a chilly Spring week in Gothenburg. Now we’re in Rovereto, in the late Summer warmth. Annika, Britta, Felicia and Izabell are growing and being challenged by choreographer Chiara Bersani and her amazing team. The performance Moby Dick is forming. I see bodies that dare tell more and more, mouth singing playback, whales calling each other. It is strong yet soft. It is charged, yet calm. Dancing individuals connected to one another. And the wonderful feeling that we are on the right track, an extraordinary one.”

Today, Friday the 20th, we’re shooting the first round of performance images at Lake Garda, and we can’t wait to share these images with you all!
