We’re very happy to be able to share the news that we are premiering our new performance Garden of Trees at Folkteatern in Gothenburg on February 10th!

Garden of Trees is a bittersweet and humorous dance piece about growing old together, choreographed by Tanja Eloranta who works at Teatteri Metamorfoosi in Helsinki. The performance features original music by José A. Luque-Osuna, with vocals by Norwegian flamenco singer Marianne Holmboe.

About the performance
At the retirement home, time is standing still. Outside the window grows a birch grove. During the latest forest taxation, fir and pine were the two most common trees in Sweden. Birch is the third most common tree, just like Margareta Karlsson is Sweden’s third most common first and last name. Funny how things turn out. Garden of trees is about living together and about growing old together. About getting closer to another human being and sharing your loneliness. With a bittersweet humor and a mix between physical theatre and dance, Finnish choreographer Tanja Eloranta takes on aging and old age.
