On May 19th, you are welcome to participate in the workshop A Dance Artist’s Social Agency. It is a continuing education workshop for professionals within the dance field held by Jasmiina Sipilä & Toni Keski-Liikala. 

In this workshop, participants will reflect on their own professional career in dance and find inspiration by sharing thoughts with others. We work and discuss in small groups and then share the group’s insights with the whole group. 

We focus on inclusion and accessibility as practical tools to strengthen and enable dance artists’ social agency. The workshop is aimed at all dance professionals such as dancers, teachers, choreographers, producers, dance students, etc. The workshop will be held in English.

Live Vocational Institute

Live is Finland’s only vocational special education institution where students can complete a vocational qualification in dance. The education focuses on contemporary dance. Students also gain basic skills in other dance techniques and various forms of expression. Each student receives an individual learning path that takes into account their interests in different dance genres, the applied methods used in the dance field, and future employment opportunities.
