Finally it was time! On Tuesday, an excited team gathered in Spinnstudion for the collation of the company’s latest production Svansen.

Svansen is Danskompaniets Spinn’s new production for the younger children 3-5 years. It is a co-production with Vara Konserthus where it also premieres on January 31, 2024.

During the collation, we took part in presentations from the artistic team. Choreographer Minna Krook shared, among other things,  facts about tails and their areas of use. We heard a bit of composer Ville Hukkinen’s specially composed music. We also get to see and feel one of set designer and costume designer Karin Agelii’s tails for the performance. Lighting designer Kajsa-Sara Hogenlind invited us into the world of Svansen with pictures of the performance lighting design. A very exciting day, we all held our tails high as we left.

Now three  intensive weeks of rehearsal await for Spinn’s dancers Emilia Wärff, Hannah Karlsson, Ida Häggström, Annika Vestel and Britta Kangas. Then the work takes a break to be taken up again in January until the premiere at Vara concert hall on 31 January.
