Tuseday, February 13th,  Spinns dancers Ida Häggström and artist director Veera Suvalo Grimberg gives the workshop Dansa en bok in Spinnstudion at Järntorget, in Gothenburg.

Welcome to 45 minutes filled with reading and dancing where we together discover the magic of children’s books and create new stories with our bodies. Dansa en bok/Tanssia kirja is a multilingual workshop in Finnish, Swedish and body language.

Dansa en bok/Tanssia kirja is a method where dance and music are used to stimulate reading and language learning and self-creation. The method has been developed by the Kulturenheten Dans and Regionbibliotek Uppsala at Region Uppsala with the support of Kulturrådet. Read more about the method here.

The workshop is aimed to children 4-7 years old.

The workshop is given on 2 occasions during the day

Time: 11am-11.45am  and 2.am- 2.45pm.

Location: Spinnstudion at Järntorget 7 (floor 1)

Through the City of Gothenburg, Danskompaniet Spinn has received a state grant to support the use of the Finnish language, bilingualism and the Swedish-Finnish culture. The workshop Dansa en bok is the first activity within this project.
