… but fundamentally it’s about human rights (Det handlar om dans men i grund och botten handlar det om mänskliga rättigheter”) – a qualitative study on inclusive dance based on the project Moving Beyond Inclusion.
During autumn 2016, student Emilie Ericsson followed us in Danskompaniet Spinn as part of her bachelor thesis in Global Studies at The School of Global Studies at The University of Gothenburg. Using the EU project Moving Beyond Inclusion as its starting point, this paper explores resistance potential in function norm critique inherent in dance. The aim is to explore dance in relation to body, functionality norms and resistance against the norm. You can read more about Emelie’s amazing work here and also download the entire paper here (in Swedish only).
