September is here with its crisp mornings and sunny days. During the first month of autumn, Veera Suvalo Grimberg, the artistic director of the dance company Spinn, visits preschools in Mariestad Municipality with the workshop Dansa en bok/Tanssia kirja.

In 45 minutes filled with reading and dance, the magic of children’s books is discovered, and new stories are created with their bodies. Dansa en bok/Tanssia kirja is a method where dance and music are used to stimulate reading and language learning, as well as creative expression. The method was developed by the Cultural Unit Dance and the Regional Library Uppsala in Region Uppsala with the support of the Swedish Arts Council. Read more about the method here.
